What can PhotoMatch do?
Was kann PhotoMatch?
PhotoMatch analyses loaded images and calculates the matching 3D camera for you. Beside this calibration part, PhotoMatch can be used to rebuild simple geometry, too. This works with indoor and outdoor scenes.

A tracking mode takes control over the camera so that loaded 3D objects can be composed with images in just seconds.
A lens distortion tool enhances CINEMAs renderer to mimic real world lenses for even tighter integration of 3D objects and photographic images.

PhotoMatch also comes with an export plugin for ASCII Maya .ma. This allows you to integrate PhotoMatch into your software pipeline and exchange camera data and camera animations with other 3D or compositing software such as Shake or Maya.

 PhotoMatch analysiert geladene Bilder und berechnet eine entsprechend ausgerichtete 3D -Kamera für Sie. Zudem kann PhotoMatch Geometrien erzeugen (Foto-Modelling). Dieses funktioniert gleichermaßen für Innen- und Außenaufnahmen.

Enthalten ist zudem ein Export-Plugin für das ASCII Maya .ma-Format. Damit wird die Integration von PhotoMatch in Ihre Programm-Pipeline noch einfacher, wenn es z. B. um den Austausch von Kameradaten und Kamera-Animationen mit Compositing-Programmen, wie z. B. Shake oder anderen 3D-Programmen, wie Maya geht.

What kind of perspectives can be tracked with PhotoMatch?
Welche Bilder können von PhotoMatch verarbeitet werden?
PhotoMatch works best with geometric structures, such as architectual buildings, but also many other kinds of images can be used.

Photos showing just organic shapes or open nature, or extreme perspectives might not work with PhotoMatch, but even then our plugins offers many tools to ease the calibration and image modelling.

 PhotoMatch bringt die besten Ergebnisse bei Bildern mit klaren Strukturen, wie z. B. bei Architekturdarstellungen. Jedoch beschränkt sich das Anwendungsfeld längst nicht nur auf dieses Thema.

Zeigt Ihr Bild ausschließlich organische Formen, wiez. B. bei reinen Landschaftsaufnahmen, oder wurde eine extreme Perspektive verwendet, kann die automatisierte Benutzung von PhotoMatch nicht immer zum Erfolg führen.
Selbst dann bietet Ihnen das Plugin jedoch
genügend andere Werkzeuge zur Vereinfachung der Kalibrierung und Modellierung.
